About

Set in the delightful West Cheshire village of Burton, Gladstone Village Hall (GVH) has been serving the communities of Burton and Puddington since 1906.

GVH is more than just a collection of buildings and some land, it’s a place where people come together to meet friends and neighbours, and feel part of a community.

Our Structure

Gladstone Village Hall (GVH) is a charitable trustee company set up in 2011. It holds cash reserves which it uses to sustain the charity as well as to improve, maintain and insure the buildings and the overall site.

The original Gladstone Village Hall charity still exists as landlowner only and owns all the village hall site. It is linked to GVH by the Charity Commission and GVH is its trustee.

A separate entity, GVH Facilities Limited, is a 100% subsidiary of GVH, and carries out some of the day-to-day activities. The Sports Clubs and their committees all sit within this company.

Staff & Volunteers

We employ a part-time booking coordinator, a caretaker, and a cleaner. We also employ bar staff for large events.

Our regular pub nights and our events are staffed by volunteers.

Volunteers help maintain the buildings and grounds.
